The San Francisco Ballet Orchestra’s newly released recording—For Love Of You: Clara & Robert Schumann—featuring pianist Lara Downes, makes it to #1 on the Billboard Charts for Traditional Classical Albums for the week of September 28, 2019.

Recognized as one of the most distinguished pianists of the Romantic era, Clara Wieck-Schumann has been the source of tremendous inspiration for Lara Downes in her own musical career. For Love Of You is Lara’s heartfelt tribute to Clara Schumann on the 200th anniversary of her birth (September 13, 1819).

This album was recorded at Skywalker Sound under the direction of conductor Martin West and engineer Adam Abeshouse with musicians of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.
