We will be performing a chamber music concert titled “Piano Quartets Through Time” on Sunday, January 11 at 7:00pm at the beautiful Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, CA.
Along with our wonderful guest pianist, Marilyn Thompson, we’ll perform works of Brahms, Mozart and by the exotic Spanish composer Joaquin Turina.

Program:
Mozart Piano Quartet in Eb, K.493 (1785) – The program begins with the Piano Quartet in E flat of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with its ever-fresh classic grace and collegial treatment of all four instruments it is one of the earliest and best examples of the piano quartet.
Turina Piano Quartet (1931) – The Spanish composer Joaquin Turina wrote his evocative Piano Quartet in 1931 and it is filled with Andalusian folk music and exotic dance rhythms.
Brahms Piano Quartet in G minor, Op. 25 (1861) – With its gorgeous melodies, reflective mood, mastery of form and wild Gypsy finale it was the work Brahms chose to introduce himself to Viennese society in 1862.
